Choose your material and finish
Jute fabric comes in different weaves, and we grade it by thread count. We work with jute from 11 x 11 up to 14 x 15. A higher count means a tighter, finer weave. Which one suits you depends on your budget and how premium you want the bag to look.
Most shopping bags are laminated jute. Lamination adds a thin plastic layer that makes the bag stiffer and helps it resist moisture. We also make non-laminated bags for buyers who want a fully natural bag without the plastic layer.
You can also choose:
- Handles: self-fabric, cotton webbing or rope, long or short
- Finish: lining, lamination, gussets and zips
- Colour: natural jute, or dyed jute, gussets and handles
Branding your bag

Jute has a coarse weave, so simple artwork prints best. A few tips that help:
- Use bold, simple artwork. Fine photographic detail and gradients do not print well on jute.
- Avoid white or very pale colours on natural jute. They do not show up clearly.
- Avoid reversed out text where you can, and keep text large.
- Send artwork as a vector file in AI, EPS or PDF format.
